Heritage Map Launched at Bankfield Museum History Conference

The first HGWHS Heritage Map (Central Halifax) was launched at the Bankfield Museum History Conference on 27 October 2014 . Copies are free and will become available at the usual outlets such as local museums, libraries and tourist information centres. It can be used in several different ways. It is a reference Heritage Map telling the story of the Great War locations in Central Halifax. It is also possible to use it as a walking trail and for tablet users there is a QR code which takes you into expanded on-line information and AV features.
The design work was by Ann Wilkinson and there were contributions to its content and format from several members of HGWHS. Support, advice and financial assistance was provided throughout by Bankfield Museum.
Further information can be found on the Heritage Maps Page.
