Jutland – the Great War’s most significant battle? Presentation 12 May

In this illustrated talk, David Millichope  argued that far from being an inconclusive battle, Jutland was strategically one of the most influential battles of the Great War.
The talk drew heavily on a superb animation produced by Nick Jellicoe, grandson of the man who commanded the British Grand Fleet at Jutland. The battle had a strong  local Halifax dimension with 17 local servicemen killed
