Old Contemptibles Association Standard Discovered in Halifax Minster

David Glover came across this exciting find as part of an ongoing project to audit the artifacts in the Halifax Minster. The local branch of the Association was set up in 1928 and was wound down in 1966 as membership dwindled due to ill health and death. It is hoped that a place will be found for the banner in Bankfield Museum and iy poses an interesting project for someone to trace all of its original members and research their background.
